Popular Brisbane film locations to date have included King George Square, Queensland University of Technology at Gardens Point, Fortitude Valley, Old Museum of Brisbane, William Jolly Bridge, University of Queensland, Story Bridge and Mt Coot-tha lookout.
Here are 5 movies where Brisbane was used as a location, how many of these have you seen and did you spot the Brisbane landmarks?

48 Shades of Brown is my favourite. My friend’s band is in it! ???? I also saw filming of Inspector Gadget one night walking home through King George Square. I could see Mark Mitchell and French Stewart shooting a scene multiple times. Gosh it looked like a tedious job.
Hi Sarah, I haven’t seen 48 Shades of Brown, will need to check it out. I can imagine that the whole setting the scene, take after take, must take a so long and need to be pretty much perfect.
Hi Anna
Thank you for sharing the movies where Brisbane was a location. How did you find that out? I thought I would pop by and check out your blog as I usually see your Instagram posts. I will definitely check out the things on offer in Brisbane the next time I fly up – after we are free to fly around the country again which I hope is not too far away. Stay safe and take care.

Hi Charlie, thanks for dropping by to take a look at my website. Regarding the movies filmed in Brisbane, I remember when Thor was being filmed in the city and the streets were closed, from there I was curious as to other movies filmed in Brisbane, and the end result was this blog post. I look forward to when life returns to normal too, stay safe. Anna
Not a movie but ABC/BBC collar of Harris. Fantastic shots around River walk city, Kangaroo Point cliffs and the old dental hospital corner Albert and Ann St
Hi Lyndall, I haven’t seen that show yet but would love to as I’ve heard so many people speak about it being filmed in and around Brisbane.
