Time to pack your picnic basket and head west of Brisbane to the city of Ipswich, just a short drive along the M7, to enjoy a picnic at any of these glorious Ipswich locations.
Queens Park – situated at the entrance to the city of Ipswich is this well known Ipswich landmark and as history states was the first park in Queensland, dating back to 1842. Denmark Hill Conservation Park – if a picnic in the bush is more your style then this is the location for you. With the carpark situated close to the picnic spots and bbq facilities, it makes it easy to carry your picnic basket to your chosen site. After your picnic enjoy a bushwalk through the reserve on one of the walking circuits or head up to the water tank on Denmark Hill, take the stairs to the top of the tank and check out the stunning views over Ipswich.
Robelle Domain Parklands – situated in Springfield Central, which is still part of the city of Ipswich. Robelle Domain is another fabulous kid friendly picnic parkland complete with a rainforest walk, water play area, bike path, walking tracks and the ever popular fun filled Orion Lagoon. Keep an eye out for the interactive play equipment and the sound and light show that takes place early each night. Everyone will have worked up an appetite after playing in the park and be ready to enjoy a picnic or bbq at one the many picnic shelters.
