Situated on Wickham Street in Fortitude Valley and launched by furniture and design brand Coco Republic, this superbly decorated cafe draws inspiration from the film, The Talented Mr Ripley, and in particular the chic style of character of Marg Sherwood, played by Gweneth Paltrow.
Sherwood has become a fashion icon for her signature wardrobe of casual meets coastal glamour. Her softly sophisticated manner and enviable vacation style for an opulent life on the Italian coast sets the scene for the cafe.
L’Americano Cafe offers a casual relaxed menu. inspired by the film and the picturesque Italian countryside.
Our dining experience began with a glass of Rose while browsing the menu.
After much deliberation we finally decided on the Crostini tasting plate and signature salad, see below.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the tastefully styled L’Americano Cafe, our meals were fresh and delicious and the signature salad is absolutely amazing. Staff were attentive and service faultless.
If you are looking for an Italian Riveria lunch experience without leaving Brisbane, one where you can enjoy a glass of Rose and admire the fancy cars passing by and people watch the afternoon away, this is the place for you.
