Catch a ride on the CityHopper. Interested in experiencing Brisbane from the water? Hop on a CityHopper and take a cruise across the river! These little red boats shuttle tourists and locals alike between New Park Farm and the CBD. Running every 30 minutes between 6 a.m. to midnight, you can enjoy the CityHopper any time, free of charge! Explore the city with a walking tour. Checking out a city on foot is a great way to get to know your new surroundings. Take the little ones to the Wynnum Wading Pool. This man-made water park was built in the 1930’s and has provided families with a fun, free outing ever since! It isn’t much fun during low tide, but when the water rises, the park fills with seawater, making it the perfect place to cool down and burn off some energy at the same time. Experience the Queen Street Mall. This mall is one of the most popular pedestrian malls in Australia, and it’s the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon without spending a dime. Admire the sunset from Kangaroo Point. Immerse yourself in modern art. The Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) is home to both Australian and international exhibitions. Home to over 17,000 works of art, the facility boasts a dedicated cinema facility, impressive children’s area, and a selection of constantly rotating exhibits to explore. Splash around at South Bank. South Bank is home to Streets Beach, a man-made beach in the center of town. People-watch at Davies Park Market. Stroll along the pier
Stroll along the Shorncliffe Pier. Free to access by the public, this pier was recently refurbished and holds the designation of the largest timber pier in Australia. Proving great access to Bramble Bay, the pier is the perfect spot to take a few photos, cast a fishing line, or simply people watch!
