Home styling is a popular pastime that has a huge following on Instagram, however knowing where to start and what’s available can be bewildering especially when there are hundreds of coloured cushions and mountains of soft furnishings to chose from.

That’s where Beccy Philby, an Instagram interior stylist can help. Beccy found her passion for interiors while on maternity leave. Inspired by the many beautiful home styling accounts on Instagram, Bec tried her hand at styling a new shelf, took a photo which was shared by a big Instagram account and this encouraged her to continue her passion.

Bec now enjoys styling for a variety of businesses and feels fortunate that they entrust her with their products. Hopefully Bec’s hobby can turn into her business. We are loving your style Bec.

In Bec’s own words …

I love to change things up around home all the time, it keeps it fresh and interesting for me. I like to use different flowers and plants as they’re a quick and easy way of brightening and changing the space. I’m guided by whatever is in season and tend to use this as the base for my colour palette, and add complimentary pieces to complete the space. I’m lucky to work with some amazing small businesses including Flower Haul and Faking Beautiful, who both have an amazing range of flowers and greenery. 

Going into autumn I’m loving the warmer, richer tones and like to use lots of different textures to make things look cosy and inviting, especially chunky knits. With the weather being so warm in Queensland it’s all about layers for me! I always complete the look with some prints and scented candles.
