Brisbane’s premier contemporary dance company, Expressions, launches their 2018 program with Converge showcasing emerging and established local and international choreographers.
From March 10 to 17 Expressions Dance Company will proudly present the next generation of talent with their bold new collaborative production. Converge will display exquisite choreographic artistry, live music and the exhilarating physicality of some of Australia’s finest contemporary dancers.
Australian choreographers Stephanie Lake, Richard Causer and Jake McLarnon and Xu Yiming from China – have created daring new works for Expressions Dance Company’s award-winning company of professional contemporary dancers and collaborated with emerging composers from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.
Natalie Weir, Expressions Dance Company Artistic Director, said that Converge provides an important opportunity for the next generation of dance makers to be supported by a professional dance company to develop their unique artistic perspectives.
