Ipswich is just a hop, skip and a jump from Brisbane and is full of foodie finds and today I continue my series of where to eat in Ipswich with my visit to Fourthchild Cafe Restaurant.

Fourthchild located in the heart of Ipswich is a family run and operated business and what I love about this Ipswich institution is that everything is hand made on site using locally sourced ingredients and fresh Lockyer Valley produce.

I visited for breakfast and having a sweet tooth couldn’t resist ordering the Peach Melba Creme Brûlée French Toast served with grilled peaches, creme brûlée, praline, raspberry couli, vanilla bean ice cream & maple syrup. My breakfast choice was a visual delight for my eyes and a sweet sensation for my tastebuds.

My visit to Fourthchild was thoroughly enjoyable, staff were friendly and efficient and it was great to meet the husband and wife team that own and operate the cafe restaurant.

I will definitely be returning to taste their magnificent selection of house made cakes, biscuits and slices, told you I had a sweet tooth.
