Ipswich is only a short drive from Brisbane and offers a fabulous selection of dining destinations and today I share with you my visit to Tap’d the next in my series of where to eat in Ipswich.

You may not look twice when driving past the Prince Alfred Hotel but once you step inside be prepared to be impressed. Tap’d and the 3 restaurants on site combine under the Prince Alfred Hotel umbrella and were recently crowned Best Restaurant in Qld (casual dining) 2018.

Tap’d offers an amazing selection of 72 different beers and ciders on tap ranging from robust to sweet including a Skittles beer!! They lay claim to the largest selection of craft beers in one bar on this side of the equator and if you have trouble deciding which beer to enjoy you’re invited to try a Tap’d tasting paddle.

From the pub classics menu I ordered the sizzling Wagyu steak sandwich and my husband ordered the 300g rump steak, both perfectly cooked they way we requested, tasty and generous in size.

Try Tap’d for yourself and be prepared to be impressed and seriously the hardest decision at Tap’d is deciding which beer to order to enjoy with your meal.
