Spring Hill Reservoir has been transformed into a futuristic art installation by Brisbane artist, Meagan Streader, from 8 to 23 September.

In partnership with the Brisbane City Council, with a desire to transform the city’s laneways and public places with artistic activations, Meagan Streader has created a underground large scale immersive art installation that transforms an iconic Brisbane space into a futuristic site of wonder and fascination.

Meagan has used electroluminescent wire to frame the architectural features of this heritage listed underground site, which once was the source of water for the city of Brisbane.

As you descend the stairs into the reservoir and walk under and through lines of light carefully mapped by wires, you are instantly immersed into a hypnotic sense of wonder that draws your eye across the site while looking at space in a completely new way.

See and experience this intriguing installation for yourself from midday to 7.00pm from September 8 to 23.
