Friday flashback to vintage Brisbane of 1918 when children spent their time doing needlework and crafts.
These three sisters, who lived at Augustus Street Toowong, all with fashionable bows in their hair are photograhped sitting on the verandah of their house doing needlework and possibly crochet.
I learnt crochet and sewing when I went to school. I’m grateful to be able to use these skills when necessary and enjoy crochet when time permits. Fast forward to today and my how times have changed. Did you know how to sew and crochet? Let me know, I’d love to hear from you.
