Recently I was a guest of Marisa Vecchio, owner and business women extraordinaire of the beautiful Hanworth House, at her Queensland Ballet Garden Party.
Hanworth House, located on Lytton Road at East Brisbane, is a haven for visitors looking for short and long term accommodation, a garden wedding or corporate events venue.
Guests at the Hanworth House Queensland Ballet garden party were joined by Li Cunxin, Queensland Ballet Artistic Director as well as dancers of the Queensland Ballet. This beautiful afternoon in the garden was a celebration of the newly formed partnership between Queensland Ballet and Hanworth House.
A highlight of the afternoon was being able to speak with dancers from Queensland Ballet as well as seeing a number of the costumes from recent productions. We enjoyed a delicious high tea whilst sipping Veuve Clicquot champagne and listening to classical music followed by a live auction. All funds raised from the garden party were graciously donated by Marisa to Queensland Ballet.
The Hanworth House Garden Party was the most wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Congratulations to Marisa and her team for creating an event whereby all money raised was donated to the arts in Queensland.
