I was recently invited by Riverlife to take part in the launch of their sunset paddle experience. Having never ever kayaked before to say I was nervous would be an major understatement. If not for the patience, perseverance and understanding of our wonderful guides Emma and Toby I would have drifted down river to New Farm, never to be seen again!
The paddle from Riverlife up to South Bank was the hardest part of the experience as we were paddling against the current but once we turned around and headed back paddling was easy and we drifted with the waves back to our starting point giving us more time to admire the absolutely stunning sparkling night views of the city.
You too can now enjoy a 90 minute illuminated kayak journey on the iconic Brisbane River. Take in the sensational city and river views while paddling towards South Bank gliding under Brisbane’s inner city bridges and cutting through the reflections of the city and the sunset on the water. When you return to shore enjoy a shared dip platter and an assortment of chilled beer, wine and soft drinks, served under a riverside marquees.
