Executive Chef Josh Lopez has unveiled a special Christmas menu with a distinctive Australian native theme with a splash of traditional Christmas flavours.
Enjoy festive flavours including Wattle Seed & Vanilla Yule log, Pumpkin Pie, Mince Pie macaron and Edible Christmas Baubles in flavours of macadamia and lillipilly, coconut and fruit mince and spiced rum.
My favourites from the new Christmas menu are the Candy Cane macaron, which tastes exactly like a candy cane and the Eggnog Trifle, a delicious combination of traditional Christmas flavours served in an elegant glass.
Josh Lopez has recently commenced working at The Emporium Hotel after a five-year tenure as Executive Chef at GOMA Restaurant, where he was awarded a prestigious two hats by the Brisbane Times Good Food Guide in 2016 and CITI Chef of the Year, as well an Australian Gourmet Traveller Star for 2017.
