Indulging in high tea is one of my favourite past times and recently when a friend celebrated her 50th birthday we decided that a girls high tea in the elegant surrounds of The Treasury Hotel and Casino’s The Lab Restaurant and Bar was the perfect place to celebrate.
We enjoyed a decadent sweet and savoury selection of delights including bite size sandwiches, mini quiche, scones with jam and cream and a selection of petite cakes including macarons, profiteroles and lemon tarts. Executive Chef, Steven Jones and his team are responsible for creating such an exquisite high tea, Jones perfected his high tea skills after many years working at 5-star establishments in London.
The Lab Restaurant and Bar serve high tea with bottomless La Maison Du French handcrafted teas, also available is coffee and you have the option to include a bottle of Chandon or Moet & Chandon.
High tea is the perfect way to treat someone special or to celebrate an occassion or when no reason is needed at all, to enjoy a little decadence! Be warned though you will certainly not be hungry after indulging in these bountiful treats at The Lab Restuarant and Bar.
