This week at Lady Brisbane I am celebrating the beautiful Jacaranda flower that is currently blooming across our city.
I wanted to start Jacaranda week by sharing with you the recipe I use to make my blueberry breakfast smoothie which I’ve decided to rename the Jacaranda smoothie.
Jacaranda flowers are too pretty to eat and probably not edible so for this recipe I am using blueberries to achieve the iconic purple Jacaranda colour.
Here is my recipe for my Jacaranda Smoothie (Serves 1) –
You will need –
1/2 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
1 cup of milk
1/2 banana – fresh or frozen – skin removed
2 tablespoons of rolled oats
2 tablespoons of yoghurt – optional
Method –
1. Place all ingredients in a blender, I use a Nutri Bullet
2. Blend together and enjoy.
While I have this smoothie for breakfast, you can really enjoy it at any time of the day. Let me know below in the comments if you have a favourite smoothie recipe.
Cheers.
